Defra wrote to us in January to seek our views on proposals to remove 73 pieces of environmental legislation under powers contained in the Retained EU Law (Revocation and Reform) Act 2023.
We have reviewed the list of legislation to be removed and can confirm we have identified nothing to contradict the reasons given and have no concerns about weakened environmental protections as a result of the changes.
