How to make a Freedom of Information (FOI) or Environmental Information Regulations (EIR) request
The OEP will be as open and transparent as reasonably possible. Where appropriate, we will make our information available to the public by publishing it on our website. Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004, people have the right to request certain information held by public bodies. We will respond to most requests for information within 20 working days.
How we deal with FOI and EIR requests

Reviewing FOI and EIR decisions
If your request for information is refused and you remain unhappy with the response, you can ask for a senior manager to review the decision.
Complaining to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO)
If, following an internal review, we uphold the decision not to give information then you have a right of appeal to the ICO. You can contact them on 0303 123 1113 or write to:
