Publication of Environmental Improvement Plan (EIP) for Northern Ireland

Summary

Self-initiated action taken in relation to the statutory deadline for DAERA to publish an EIP by 25 July 2023, as required by the Environment Act 2021. We have received two complaints related to this matter.

This is a ‘live’ issue and we have ongoing engagement with DAERA in respect of the missed deadline to publish an EIP for NI, and the two related complaints we have received. We maintain an active interest in this matter.
